TOPIC: THE WEIGHT OF COVENANTS II MEMORISE : Now therefore, if ye will obey my voice indeed, and keep my covenant, then ye shall be a peculiar treasure unto me above all people: for all the earth is mine: Exodus 19:5 READ : Matthew 11:28-30 28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light. MESSAGE Holiness is living a life that reflects God’s character, and it is the major weight of a covenant with Him. Anyone who is in a covenant with God must be like Him (1 Peter 1:16), and this requires doing all that He asks. In return, the fellow will get many blessings from Him (Deuteronomy 28:1-14). Some people think that life will become a bed of roses when they become believers; however, Jesus never promised that. MESSAGE When God anoints a person, He expects him or her to use the anointing to edify His people and spread the gospel.
