TOPIC: BE KIND ALWAYS MEMORISE : “And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.” Ephesians 4:32 READ JOSHUA 2:1-24 1 And Joshua the son of Nun sent out of Shittim two men to spy secretly, saying, Go view the land, even Jericho. And they went, and came into an harlot's house, named Rahab, and lodged there. 2 And it was told the king of Jericho, saying, Behold, there came men in hither to night of the children of Israel to search out the country. 3 And the king of Jericho sent unto Rahab, saying, Bring forth the men that are come to thee, which are entered into thine house: for they be come to search out all the country. 4 And the woman took the two men, and hid them, and said thus, There came men unto me, but I wist not whence they were: 5 And it came to pass about the time of shutting of the gate, when it was dark, that the men went out: whither the men went I wot not: pursue after them quickly; for ye sha...

MESSAGE
When l became a Christian, l was determined not to be an ordinary one. l wanted to be a Christian with power to do the impossible. I soon discovered that to get power from God, you need to be totally sold out to Him. When you study Paul the Apostle who was so powerful that his handkerchiefs and aprons were healing the sick, you will see that when he beheld Christ on his way to Damascus, as he hit the ground, he said “What do you want me to do Lord?” That is total surrender from the onset.You hear him say in Galatians 2:20: "l am crucified with Christ: nevertheless l live; yet not l, but Christ liveth in me: and the Life which l now live in the flesh l live by faith of he Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

In order words, He was saying, "Forget the Paul you used to know, forget all you knew about me; the only reason l am living now is that Christ is living in me." This is why he said in Philippians 1:21, "For to me to Liv is Christ, and to die is gain."

By God's special grace, He has done so many great things through me that make me glad that l surrendered all to Him. These are things that outweigh the pain of total surrender.

Some people want God to use them mightily, but they still tell lies once in while. Some want to heal the sick but their money is too precious for God to take from them. Some want to command demons but even the devil is looking at them and saying, "From your sinful mouth? You  think you can command me?

Take your focus off the things of this world that distract you and surrender your all to God. Pray without ceasing, study your Bible regularly, fast often – just go all in with God. Let Him know that you are His and His alone. Don’t worry about the things you are chasing now – Jesus Christ promised in Matthew 19:29: “And every one that hath forsaken houses, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my name’s sake, shall receive an hundredfold, and shall inherit everlasting life.” I can attest to that promise because He has fulfilled it in my life. Try Him and see.

PRAYER POINT
Father,give me the grace to do what it takes to become a custodian of your power on earth.

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: Hebrews 5-8

AUTHOR: PASTOR E. A ADEBOYE

HYMN 7: I AM THINE O LORD

1 I am Thine, O Lord, I have heard Thy voice,
  And it told Thy love to me;
But I long to rise in the arms of faith,
  And be closer drawn to Thee.

Draw me nearer, nearer, blessed Lord,
  To the cross where Thou hast died;
Draw me nearer, nearer, nearer, blessed Lord,
    To Thy precious, bleeding side.

2 Consecrate me now to Thy service, Lord,
  By the pow’r of grace divine;
Let my soul look up with a steadfast hope,
  And my will be lost in Thine.

3 O the pure delight of a single hour
  That before Thy throne I spend,
When I kneel in prayer, and with Thee, my God,
  I commune as friend with friend!

4 There are depths of love that I yet may know
  Ere Thee face to face I see;
There are heights of joy that I yet may reach
  Ere I rest in peace with Thee.
