MESSAGE The final soil type that Jesus described in His parable about the Sower is what He called 'Good ground’. The people whose hearts can be compared to good ground are those who hear God's word, receive it, and act on it. This category of believers are fruitful to varying degrees. He compared this soil type to people who hear God's word but are distracted by many things that prevent the word from bearing fruit in their lives. This type of people appears to love God's word, but clearly not enough to change their ways or let go of some worldly pleasures. This soil type refers to people who hear God's word but do not understand it or act upon it.
