TOPIC: UNDERSTANDING HARVESTS MEMORIZE : While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease. Genesis 8:22 READ : Mark 4:26-29  26 And he said, So is the kingdom of God, as if a man should cast seed into the ground; 27 And should sleep, and rise night and day, and the seed should spring and grow up, he knoweth not how. 28 For the earth bringeth forth fruit of herself; first the blade, then the ear, after that the full corn in the ear. 29 But when the fruit is brought forth, immediately he putteth in the sickle, because the harvest is come. MESSAGE The first thing to understand about harvests is that they ultimately come from God. 1 Corinthians 3:6 says, "I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase." Also, harvests come in different levels, which Jesus identified as thirtyfold, sixtyfold, and hundredfold (Mark 4:20). Some Bible scholars believe that a thirtyfold harvest results from...

TOPIC: GOD TEACHES I MEMORISE :  For his God doth instruct him to discretion, and doth teach him. Isaiah 28:26 READ : Psalms 25:4-12  4 Shew me thy ways, O LORD; teach me thy paths. 5 Lead me in thy truth, and teach me: for thou art the God of my salvation; on thee do I wait all the day. 6 Remember, O LORD, thy tender mercies and thy lovingkindnesses; for they have been ever of old. 7 Remember not the sins of my youth, nor my transgressions: according to thy mercy remember thou me for thy goodness' sake, O LORD. 8 Good and upright is the LORD: therefore will he teach sinners in the way. 9 The meek will he guide in judgment: and the meek will he teach his way. 10 All the paths of the LORD are mercy and truth unto such as keep his covenant and his testimonies. 11 For thy name's sake, O LORD, pardon mine iniquity; for it is great. 12 What man is he that feareth the LORD? him shall he teach in the way that he shall choose. MESSAGE While I was studying for my PhD, l was faced wi...

TOPIC: GOD PROVIDES MEMORISE:  The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. Psalm 23:1 READ : Genesis 22:7-14  7 And Isaac spake unto Abraham his father, and said, My father: and he said, Here am I, my son. And he said, Behold the fire and the wood: but where is the lamb for a burnt offering? 8 And Abraham said, My son, God will provide himself a lamb for a burnt offering: so they went both of them together. 9 And they came to the place which God had told him of; and Abraham built an altar there, and laid the wood in order, and bound Isaac his son, and laid him on the altar upon the wood. 10 And Abraham stretched forth his hand, and took the knife to slay his son. 11 And the angel of the LORD called unto him out of heaven, and said, Abraham, Abraham: and he said, Here am I. 12 And he said, Lay not thine hand upon the lad, neither do thou any thing unto him: for now I know that thou fearest God, seeing thou hast not withheld thy son, thine only son from me. 13 And Abraham l...

TOPIC: NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE MEMORISE :  For with God, nothing shall be impossible. Luke 1:37 READ : Mark 11:22-24  22 And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God. 23 For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. 24 Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them. MESSAGE Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth. Mark 9:23 Sometime ago, we had a Holy Ghost night in Canada. After the programme, some people rushed to touch the chair I sat on. However, one particular woman didn't bother; she just went to my wife's chair, knelt there, and prayed to God. The doctors had told her that she had no womb and that she shouldn't bother...

TOPIC: THERE IS HOPE MEMORISE :  For there is hope of a tree, if it be cut down, that it will sprout again, and that the tender branch thereof will not cease. Job 14:7 READ : Psalms 33:17-22   17 An horse is a vain thing for safety: neither shall he deliver any by his great strength. 18 Behold, the eye of the Lord is upon them that fear him, upon them that hope in his mercy; 19 To deliver their soul from death, and to keep them alive in famine. 20 Our soul waiteth for the Lord: he is our help and our shield. 21 For our heart shall rejoice in him, because we have trusted in his holy name. 22 Let thy mercy, O Lord, be upon us, according as we hope in thee. MESSAGE Hopelessness is dangerous; no matter how bad things get; you must never lose hope. In 1 Kings 19:1-8, when things were not going as Elijah expected, he asked God to kill him because he had lost hope. However, in 1 Kings 21:20, Ahab, whom he was running from, said to him, "Have you found me, my enemy?" The one w...

TOPIC: THE NAME ABOVE ALL NAMES MEMORISE :  Wherefore God also hath highly exalteth him, and given him a name which is above every name: Philippians 2:9 READ : Jeremiah 32:17-20  17 Ah Lord GOD! behold, thou hast made the heaven and the earth by thy great power and stretched out arm, and there is nothing too hard for thee: 18 Thou shewest loving kindness unto thousands, and recompensest the iniquity of the fathers into the bosom of their children after them: the Great, the Mighty God, the LORD of hosts, is his name, 19 Great in counsel, and mighty in work: for thine eyes are open upon all the ways of the sons of men: to give every one according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings: 20 Which hast set signs and wonders in the land of Egypt, even unto this day, and in Israel, and among other men; and hast made thee a name, as at this day; MESSAGE Years ago, a young man was involved in a road accident in which everyone else died except him. He was taken to a h...

TOPIC: YE ARE GODS MEMORISE:  I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High. Psalm 82:6 READ : Job 22:28-30 28 Thou shalt also decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee: and the light shall shine upon thy ways. 29 When men are cast down, then thou shalt say, There is lifting up; and he shall save the humble person. 30 He shall deliver the island of the innocent: and it is delivered by the pureness of thine hands. MESSAGE Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven. Matthew 18:18 The above Bible passage shows how God sees us as His children and the authority He has given to us. It says that we are so powerful that we can decide what happens in heaven. If we bind something on earth, the hosts of heaven will validate it. It is important that we know how powerful we are because Psalm 49:20 says: Man that is in honour, and understandeth not, ...

TOPIC: EVEN IN THE FIRE MEMORISE :  Though he slay me, yet will l trust in him: but I will maintain mine own ways before him.Job 13:15 READ : Daniel 3:9-25  9 They spake and said to the king Nebuchadnezzar, O king, live for ever. 10 Thou, O king, hast made a decree, that every man that shall hear the sound of the cornet, flute, harp, sackbut, psaltery, and dulcimer, and all kinds of musick, shall fall down and worship the golden image: 11 And whoso falleth not down and worshippeth, that he should be cast into the midst of a burning fiery furnace. 12 There are certain Jews whom thou hast set over the affairs of the province of Babylon, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego; these men, O king, have not regarded thee: they serve not thy gods, nor worship the golden image which thou hast set up. 13 Then Nebuchadnezzar in his rage and fury commanded to bring Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego. Then they brought these men before the king. 14 Nebuchadnezzar spake and said unto them, Is i...

TOPIC: THE GLORY AND THE STORY MEMORISE:  They that sow in tears shall reap in joy. Psalm 126:5 READ: Psalms 126:5-6  5 They that sow in tears shall reap in joy. 6 He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him. MESSAGE Some people who are not Christians become very rich because they understand the principle of sowing and reaping. If those who do not know God benefit from this simple principle, how much more God's children? During a Kenneth Hagin camp meeting several years ago, a call was made for a special offering to be collected. Then one man got up and said, "Brothers and sisters, please give very generously this evening because the total amount you all give is what my wife and I will give." There were about 17,500 people in attendance. When the offering was counted, it amounted to about $3.5million. He got up again and said, "Brethren, is this all you can do?" I said to m...

TOPIC:  NO RESPECTER OF PERSONS MEMORISE:    For there is no respect of persons with God.     Romans 2:11 READ:  Isaiah 3:10-11  10 Say ye to the righteous, that it shall be well with him: for they shall eat the fruit of their doings. 11 Woe unto the wicked! it shall be ill with him: for the reward of his hands shall be given him. MESSAGE If Christ is in you, your hope is glory (Colossians 1:27). No matter who you are, as long as you have Christ in you, you can hope for God's glory. Today's Bible reading says that while it will be well with the righteous, it shall be ill with the wicked. No matter your past, as long as you have accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior and you're living according to His will, you have been made righteous, and it will be well with you. Those who aren't born again cannot be righteous; God sees them as wicked (John 3:18-21), and He has said that it shall not be well with them (Isaiah 3:11). l always tell my chil...

TOPIC: HOPE FOR THE BACKSLIDDEN MEMORISE : “I will heal their backsliding, I will love them freely; for mine anger is turned away from him.” Hosea 14:4 READ : Jeremiah 3:22-23 (KJV) 22 Return, ye backsliding children, and I will heal your backslidings. Behold, we come unto thee; for thou art the LORD our God. 23 Truly in vain is salvation hoped for from the hills, and from the multitude of mountains: truly in the LORD our God is the salvation of Israel. MESSAGE : After Jesus was crucified, Peter thought that it was the end of His ministry on the earth. Therefore, in John 21:3, he told his colleagues, "You know what, if I can't go forward, at least I can return to where I am coming from. Brethren, I am going back to fishing," and they decided to follow him. However, while he was fishing, the Lord met him and restored him. The same Peter, who thought that the end had come in his walk with Christ, began to heal the sick with his shadow, as we see in Acts 5:15: Insomuch that ...

TOPIC: THE POWER OF TESTIMONIES MEMORISE:  That I may publish with the voice of thanksgiving, and tell of all thy wondrous works. Psalm 26:7 READ: Psalms 145:1-12 1 I will extol thee, my God, O king; and I will bless thy name for ever and ever. 2 Every day will I bless thee; and I will praise thy name for ever and ever. 3 Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised; and his greatness is unsearchable. 4 One generation shall praise thy works to another, and shall declare thy mighty acts. 5 I will speak of the glorious honour of thy majesty, and of thy wondrous works. 6 And men shall speak of the might of thy terrible acts: and I will declare thy greatness. 7 They shall abundantly utter the memory of thy great goodness, and shall sing of thy righteousness. 8 The LORD is gracious, and full of compassion; slow to anger, and of great mercy. 9 The LORD is good to all: and his tender mercies are over all his works. 10 All thy works shall praise thee, O LORD; and thy saints shall bless...

TOPIC: HE IS ABLE AND WILLING MEMORISE :  Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, Ephesians 3:20 READ: Mark 1:40-45  40 And there came a leper to him, beseeching him, and kneeling down to him, and saying unto him, If thou wilt, thou canst make me clean. 41 And Jesus, moved with compassion, put forth his hand, and touched him, and saith unto him, I will; be thou clean. 42 And as soon as he had spoken, immediately the leprosy departed from him, and he was cleansed. 43 And he straitly charged him, and forthwith sent him away; 44 And saith unto him, See thou say nothing to any man: but go thy way, shew thyself to the priest, and offer for thy cleansing those things which Moses commanded, for a testimony unto them. 45 But he went out, and began to publish it much, and to blaze abroad the matter, insomuch that Jesus could no more openly enter into the city, but was without in desert places: ...

TOPIC: THE SOURCE OF ALL HELP MEMORISE :  Give us help from trouble: for vain is the help of man. Psalm 60:11 READ : Psalms 54:1-7  1 Save me, O God, by thy name, and judge me by thy strength. 2 Hear my prayer, O God; give ear to the words of my mouth. 3 For strangers are risen up against me, and oppressors seek after my soul: they have not set God before them. Selah. 4 Behold, God is mine helper: the Lord is with them that uphold my soul. 5 He shall reward evil unto mine enemies: cut them off in thy truth. 6 I will freely sacrifice unto thee: I will praise thy name, O LORD; for it is good. 7 For he hath delivered me out of all trouble: and mine eye hath seen his desire upon mine enemies. MESSAGE In Psalm 121:1-2, David said: I will lift up my eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth. This passage implies that help is always available with the One who made heaven and earth. The question is, will you seek y...

TOPIC: PRODUCE SONS MEMORISE :  Now we exhort you, brethren, warn them that are unruly, comfort the feebleminded, support the weak, be patient towards all men. 1 Thessalonians 5:14 READ : Philemon 1:10-18 10 I beseech thee for my son Onesimus, whom I have begotten in my bonds: 11 Which in time past was to thee unprofitable, but now profitable to thee and to me: 12 Whom I have sent again: thou therefore receive him, that is, mine own bowels: 13 Whom I would have retained with me, that in thy stead he might have ministered unto me in the bonds of the gospel: 14 But without thy mind would I do nothing; that thy benefit should not be as it were of necessity, but willingly. 15 For perhaps he therefore departed for a season, that thou shouldest receive him for ever; 16 Not now as a servant, but above a servant, a brother beloved, specially to me, but how much more unto thee, both in the flesh, and in the Lord? 17 If thou count me therefore a partner, receive him as myself. 18 If he ...

TOPIC: DON'T OUTGROW CORRECTIONS MEMORISE:  While it is said, Today if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts, as in the provocation. Hebrews 3:15 READ : Proverbs 15:10-12 10 Correction is grievous unto him that forsaketh the way: and he that hateth reproof shall die. 11 Hell and destruction are before the LORD: how much more then the hearts of the children of men? 12 A scorner loveth not one that reproveth him: neither will he go unto the wise. MESSAGE For every action or inaction, there are consequences. This is why you should consider it a great privilege when you have people around you who can correct you whenever you do something wrong so that you do not have to suffer terrible consequences. Unfortunately, some people do not listen to corrections. The Bible refers to such people as servants. A servant will not be corrected by words: for though he understand he will not answer. Proverbs 29:19 You can choose between being corrected by words or by consequences. If you...

TOPIC: IDENTIFYING THE JERICHO WALL III MEMORISE:  The slothful man hideth his hand in his bosom, and will not so much as bring it to his mouth again. Proverbs 19:24 READ: Proverbs 6:4-11  4 Give not sleep to thine eyes, nor slumber to thine eyelids. 5 Deliver thyself as a roe from the hand of the hunter, and as a bird from the hand of the fowler. 6 Go to the ant, thou sluggard; consider her ways, and be wise: 7 Which having no guide, overseer, or ruler, 8 Provideth her meat in the summer, and gathereth her food in the harvest. 9 How long wilt thou sleep, O sluggard? when wilt thou arise out of thy sleep? 10 Yet a little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to sleep: 11 So shall thy poverty come as one that travelleth, and thy want as an armed man. MESSAGE As l conclude my discussion on the forces that can obstruct a person's progress, I want you to know that the real wall of Jericho hindering people's progress may actually be they themselves and not n...

TOPIC: IDENTIFYING THE JERICHO WALL II MEMORISE :  Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners. 1 Corinthians 15:33 READ: 2 Samuel 13:1-14  1 And it came to pass after this, that Absalom the son of David had a fair sister, whose name was Tamar; and Amnon the son of David loved her. 2 And Amnon was so vexed, that he fell sick for his sister Tamar; for she was a virgin; and Amnon thought it hard for him to do any thing to her. 3 But Amnon had a friend, whose name was Jonadab, the son of Shimeah David's brother: and Jonadab was a very subtil man. 4 And he said unto him, Why art thou, being the king's son, lean from day to day? wilt thou not tell me? And Amnon said unto him, I love Tamar, my brother Absalom's sister. 5 And Jonadab said unto him, Lay thee down on thy bed, and make thyself sick: and when thy father cometh to see thee, say unto him, I pray thee, let my sister Tamar come, and give me meat, and dress the meat in my sight, that I may see it, and ea...

Psalm 114:7-8 READ : Joshua 6:1-20  1 Now Jericho was straitly shut up because of the children of Israel: none went out, and none came in. 2 And the LORD said unto Joshua, See, I have given into thine hand Jericho, and the king thereof, and the mighty men of valour. 3 And ye shall compass the city, all ye men of war, and go round about the city once. Thus shalt thou do six days. 4 And seven priests shall bear before the ark seven trumpets of rams' horns: and the seventh day ye shall compass the city seven times, and the priests shall blow with the trumpets. 5 And it shall come to pass, that when they make a long blast with the ram's horn, and when ye hear the sound of the trumpet, all the people shall shout with a great shout; and the wall of the city shall ...
