OPEN HEAVENS DEVOTIONAL: FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 18, 2026

Image
TOPIC: PERMEATING ANOINTING MEMORISE : The LORD will perfect that which concerneth me: thy mercy, O LORD, endureth for ever: forsake not the works of thine own hands. Psalm 138:8 READ : 2 Kings 13:21 21 And it came to pass, as they were burying a man, that, behold, they spied a band of men; and they cast the man into the sepulchre of Elisha: and when the man was let down, and touched the bones of Elisha, he revived, and stood up on his feet. MESSAGE In Mark 8:22-25, Jesus spat on the eyes of a blind man, laid His hand on him and asked if he could see. The blind man looked up and said that he saw men as trees, walking. Someone else would have been content with this miracle – at least the blind man could now see. However, Jesus touched the man a second time, and he began to see properly. That is a good example of how the anointing is meant to flow through the life of the anointed. Elisha was another fellow whom the anointing permeated every part of his life, such that even his dried bone...

OPEN HEAVENS DAILY DEVOTIONAL. PERFECTION: NOT OPTIONAL. SATURDAY 12TH MARCH 2016

Image
Memorise: Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect. Matthew 5:48 Read: Genesis 17:1-7 1 And when Abram was ninety years old and nine, the Lord appeared to Abram, and said unto him, I am the Almighty God; walk before me, and be thou perfect. 2 And I will make my covenant between me and thee, and will multiply thee exceedingly. 3 And Abram fell on his face: and God talked with him, saying, 4 As for me, behold, my covenant is with thee, and thou shalt be a father of many nations. 5 Neither shall thy name any more be called Abram, but thy name shall be Abraham; for a father of many nations have I made thee. 6 And I will make thee exceeding fruitful, and I will make nations of thee, and kings shall come out of thee. 7 And I will establish my covenant between me and thee and thy seed after thee in their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be a God unto thee, and to thy seed after thee. Message During the January 2015 Ministers’ Thank...

OPEN HEAVENS DAILY DEVOTIONAL. JOINT-HEIR, JOINT SUFFERER. FRIDAY 11TH MARCH 2016

Image
Memorise: If we suffer, we shall also reign with him: if we deny him, he also will deny us. 2 Timothy 2:12 Read: Matthew 15:22-28 22 And, behold, a woman of Canaan came out of the same coasts, and cried unto him, saying, Have mercy on me, O Lord, thou son of David; my daughter is grievously vexed with a devil. 23 But he answered her not a word. And his disciples came and besought him, saying, Send her away; for she crieth after us. 24 But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel. 25 Then came she and worshipped him, saying, Lord, help me. 26 But he answered and said, It is not meet to take the children's bread, and to cast it to dogs. 27 And she said, Truth, Lord: yet the dogs eat of the crumbs which fall from their masters' table. 28 Then Jesus answered and said unto her, O woman, great is thy faith: be it unto thee even as thou wilt. And her daughter was made whole from that very hour. Message Have you compared yourself wit...

OPEN HEAVENS DAILY DEVOTIONAL. LET GOD HELP YOU. THURSDAY 10 MARCH 2016

Image
Memorise: Come now, and let us reason together saith the LORD: through your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool. Isaiah 1:18 Read: Matthew 11:28-30, 28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light. Message: Those who realised their spiritual poverty have been given the invitation by the Lord Jesus to come to Him for help. This invitation is for those who need grace and mercy, and those who know that unless the Lord helps them they will never be able to amount to anything. Laws and good works are good but they are never sufficient as a condition for our right standing with God. We need to acknowledge our helplessness and come to the one who can help us out of our weaknesses. Today, there are so many struggles we go...

OPEN HEAVENS DAILY DEVOTIONAL. AUTHORITY OVER DEMONS. WEDNESDAY 9 MARCH 2016

Image
Memorise: And these signs shall follow them that believe; in my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; Mark 16:17 Read: Luke 9:1-2 1 Then he called his twelve disciples together, and gave them power and authority over all devils, and to cure diseases. 2 And he sent them to preach the kingdom of God, and to heal the sick. Message Authority is a very powerful tool. Authority indicates an extent of ownership and silences any opposition. There is no way we can survive as Christians in our daily lives without the authority of God. It took authority for Jesus to put the devil and the gods of this world where they belong. Satan came and did all he could to derail Jesus, but at the end of the day, he lost on all fronts because of the authority which Jesus has over the devil and his cohorts. Authority is a powerful tool for good or for justification, and it is with this authority that you can rule over nations and kingdoms. It takes authority to pull down, to ...

OPEN HEAVENS DAILY DEVOTIONAL. HE KNOWS THE END FROM THE BEGINNING. TUESDAY 8TH MARCH 2016

Image
Memorise: I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last. Revelations 22:13 Read: Jeremiah 1:1-5 1 The words of Jeremiah the son of Hilkiah, of the priests that were in Anathoth in the land of Benjamin: 2 To whom the word of the LORD came in the days of Josiah the son of Amon king of Judah, in the thirteenth year of his reign. 3 It came also in the days of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah king of Judah, unto the end of the eleventh year of Zedekiah the son of Josiah king of Judah, unto the carrying away of Jerusalem captive in the fifth month. 4 Then the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, 5 Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations. Message In every land, everyone reckons with the fact that Christ is central to world history and that everything revolves around Him. When you are in Christ, you are repositioning yourself for a divine purpose...

OPEN HEAVENS DAILY DEVOTIONAL. RECOVER YOUR STOLEN BLESSINGS. MONDAY 7 MARCH 2016

Image
Memorise Like as a father pitieth his children, so the Lord pitieth them that fear him. Psalm 103:13 Read: 2 Chronicles 7:12-14 12 And the Lord appeared to Solomon by night, and said unto him, I have heard thy prayer, and have chosen this place to myself for an house of sacrifice. 13 If I shut up heaven that there be no rain, or if I command the locusts to devour the land, or if I send pestilence among my people; 14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. Message Time and time again, we have seen God dealing with us as a father deals with his children. This is because we are His children and He is our father. God has been so gracious to us on many occasions. He will not always punish us without showing mercy, even when it is glaring that we deserve condemnation. There are many of us who have lost precious th...

OPEN HEAVENS DAILY DEVOTIONAL. DEFENDER OF THE DEFENCELESS. SUNDAY 6TH MARCH 2016

Image
Memorise There shall not any man be able to stand before thee all the days of thy life: as I was with Moses, So I will be with thee: I will not fail thee, nor forsake thee. Joshua 1:5 Read: Isaiah 49:24-26 24 Shall the prey be taken from the mighty, or the lawful captive delivered? 25 But thus saith the Lord, Even the captives of the mighty shall be taken away, and the prey of the terrible shall be delivered: for I will contend with him that contendeth with thee, and I will save thy children. 26 And I will feed them that oppress thee with their own flesh; and they shall be drunken with their own blood, as with sweet wine: and all flesh shall know that I the Lord am thy Saviour and thy Redeemer, the mighty One of Jacob. Message God is worthy to be praised at every moment of our lives. He is our strength, our rock, our fortress, our shield and high tower. Proverbs 18:10 tells us that the name of the Lord is a strong tower that the righteous can always run to at any time and remain...
