I have always told my children that if we have enough of His presence in us, demons will flee when they sight us, how much more when we command them to go. In Mark 5:1-6, when Jesus stepped on the shores of the Gergesenes, a very notorious, heavily demon-possessed mad man immediately reported to Him even before He said a word. It is very easy to cast out demons when your life is full of God’s glory. The devil and his demons once stood in God’s presence in Heaven but because of their rebellion, they lost that chance. When the magicians, sorcerers and wise men of Egypt got to a point in the miracle versus magic contest where they could go no further, they were the ones who announced to Pharaoh, “ Sir, that last miracle is beyond our magical powers. This can only be done by God” (Exodus 8:16-19). They warned and left the scene.
