A poorly trained child often grows up to become a nuisance to society. However, when children are brought up in a godly manner, they grow up to become adults whom their parents can be proud of and good models for other people to emulate. DREAM KILLERS Sunday, October 7, 2012

 Apart from procrastination, impatience, and peer pressure, a factor you must watch out for if you want to reach your goal is the potential killer of your dreams. Whenever somebody or something good is born, the devil assigns something or some forces to terminate that life. When Moses was born, Pharaoh was all over town seeking his life. At some point, when the palace appeared to be the only place he could be safe, the Lord arranged events that took him there. In the same vein, when Jesus was born, Herod was all out to terminate His life. They had to take Him to Egypt to secure His life. If the life of Jesus was threatened, is it your or mine that will not be threatened?
Believe it or not, dream killers abound everywhere. When Joseph shared his dream of greatness with his brothers, they immediately took up Satan’s assignment to kill his dream. Some of the troubles Joseph went through were uncalled for, they could have been prevented and he would have had a smoother ride to the throne. His mistake was in not discerning who to share his dreams of greatness with. There are some ears that must not hear of your dreams, visions and ideas. If they hear them, they will team up with your enemies to tele-guide that dream and frustrate you at different stages of its manifestation.Learn to keep your mouth shut!
If you are a pastor or Christian leader and your wife is loose tongued, keep precious information from her or else what you told her in the bedroom will be the latest news in church the following week. Don’t think every believer loves you because you don’t know their heart. You may not easily know who is a fake and who is not. Some people may hate you because you are making progress faster than they are. Some might hate you because they are not as prayerful as you, so when they know you should be praying, they will deliberately come to occupy you with discussions just to prevent you from praying. Pray that God will separate you from every dream killer in your life.
PRAYER POINT:
Father, expose every killer of my dream to me and grant me the wisdom to keep my dream from them.
