FINGER OF DELIVERANCE Tuesday, October 9, 2012

MEMORIZE: But if I with the finger of God cast out devils, no doubt the kingdom of God is come upon you. Luke 11:20

In the course of this month, we have studied that the finger of God can be an early warning sign or a sign that God’s judgment is imminent and inevitable. This is not exhaustive of what the finger of God is or can do. The finger of God is also a medium for casting out devils. When the Pharisees accused Jesus of casting out devils through Beelzebub the chief of devils, He replied:

But if I with the finger of God cast out devils, no doubt the Kingdom of God is come upon you. Luke 11:20

It is not the shouting of commands or acrobatics that expel demons but the finger of God. When in Mark 16:17 the Lord said you shall cast out devils in His name, He means that you should get ready to work with the invisible finger of God. Demons and satanic agents see what we don’t see. When you are in right standing with God and you are casting out demons in the name of Jesus Christ, they will see the finger that created them coming towards them. On several occasions, they screamed in fright and begged Jesus not to torment them. No demon can withstand the finger of God. You too through faith in Jesus Christ can use the finger of God to cast out devils. Never think you are the one demons are afraid of; it is not you but the finger of God.

That is on the positive side. On the negative side, when a fake prophet or pastor using evil powers is praying for people, demons are released even when many may not see them. Such agents of darkness clothed as ministers of light create the atmosphere for demons to operate. The Lord exposed one of them sometime ago. This popular miracle preacher was trying to pray for a young lady over an ailment. Then suddenly, the Lord opened her eyes and she saw that as he stretched out his hand to lay it on her, demons were being released towards her. She saw this so she began to resist and did not want any more prayer from this evil agent. But when the so-called man of God realized she had seen his secret, he forcefully laid hands on her. Then suddenly, the girl that was using all her strength to fight and resist the demons suddenly became subdued and began to behave like an insane fellow. Later, God showed this fake miracle agent to another prophet of God; he saw him riding a black horse. Then he knew he was connected to an evil source.

 KEY POINT:
God’s finger expels demons but the hands of fake prophets release demons.
