TOPIC: NO MORE LABOURING II MEMORIZE : And he said, My presence shall go with thee, and I will give thee rest. Exodus 33:14 READ : Deuteronomy 15:5-6  5 Only if thou carefully hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe to do all these commandments which I command thee this day. 6 For the LORD thy God blesseth thee, as he promised thee: and thou shalt lend unto many nations, but thou shalt not borrow; and thou shalt reign over many nations,but they shall not reign over thee. MESSAGE Yesterday, I explained that laboring means working so hard and having little or nothing to show for it. Work is easier when there are results. When I go for Mount Zion Hour at the RCCG Headquarters, where I have to lay hands on thousands of people, it is hard work, but I don't mind because testimonies follow. When a pastor fasts, prays, preaches, and follows up converts with all of his or her strength, yet the church does not grow, it is a terrible experience. I know this because l have ex...

OPEN HEAVENS DEVOTIONAL: THURSDAY APRIL 27TH 2023

TOPIC:  ARE YOU A WITNESS?

MEMORISE:
Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven. Matthew 5:16

READ: Mark 16:15 -18

15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.

16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.

17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;

18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.

MESSAGE
The Lord Jesus Christ said all commandments from God  could be summarized into two: One, you must love God with all your heart, soul and mind, and two, love your neighbour as yourself Matthew 22:37-40). It is however easy to say "l love God" with your mouth but what will really show your love for God is your obedience to all His commandments (John 14:15). You also cannot say you love your neighbour without showing it in your actions.

All followers of Christ have been commissioned to preach the gospel to all creatures (Mark 16:15) so, if you truly love God and your neighbours, everything you do will be to tell them about Jesus. We are enjoying Christ now because somebody told us about Him.

We were taught that Jesus is the burden-bearer (Matthew 11:28) Many of us came to Jesus because of our burdens. Nothing could have dragged me to that little building they were calling the headquarters of The Redeemed Christian Church of God but a big problem. Someone invited me to the church and said, "The Lord Jesus will carry your burden". I never would have imagine myself worshipping in a small church built with wood, rather than a cathedral, if not for the burden l had.

Tell your friends that God is the great provider. Philippians 4:19 says, "But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus". Tell your friends that Jesus Christ is the great enabler. He can help you and grant you all round success because you can do all things through Christ who strengthens you ((Philippians 4:13).  As far as God is concerned, there are no two ways. You either love Him or hate Him. If you love Him, you will love your neighbours and tell them all you know about Jesus.

PRAYER POINT
Lord, please grant me the grace and enablement to witness effectively for You at all times, in Jesus name.

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: 2 King 24-25

HYMN 2: AMAZING GRACE

1 Amazing grace! how sweet the sound,
  That saved a wretch; like me!
I once was lost, but now am found,
  Was blind, but now I see.

2 ’Twas grace that taught my heart to fear,
  And grace my fears relieved;
How precious did that grace appear
  The hour I first believed!

3 The Lord hath promised good to me,
  His word my hope secures;
He will my shield and portion be
  As long as life endures.

4 When we’ve been there ten thousand years,
  Bright shining as the sun,
We’ve no less days to sing God’s praise
  Than when we first begun.
