TOPIC: GOD HATES LONELINESS MEMORISE : “God setteth the solitary in families: he bringeth out those which are bound with chains: but the rebellious dwell in a dry land.” - (Psalm 68:6) READ : ISAIAH 34:16-17 (KJV) 16 Seek ye out of the book of the LORD, and read: no one of these shall fail, none shall want her mate: for my mouth it hath commanded, and his spirit it hath gathered them. 17 And he hath cast the lot for them, and his hand hath divided it unto them by line: they shall possess it for ever, from generation to generation shall they dwell therein. MESSAGE : In Matthew 6:9, Jesus taught us to start our prayers with Our Father. God is a "family man'. He loves the concept of family and hates loneliness. In Genesis 2:18, He said that it is not good that a man should be alone. If you're of marriageable age and can't seem to find the right companion to get married to, or if there are forces preventing you from getting married, I pray that the tide will turn this year...

OPEN HEAVEN DAILY DEVOTIONAL: FRIDAY APRIL 4TH 2025

TOPIC: LIKE THE DAY OF PENTECOST IV

MEMORIZE:
Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a two- edged sword in their hand; Psalm 149:6

READ: Jeremiah 30:18-22

18 Thus saith the LORD; Behold, I will bring again the captivity of Jacob's tents, and have mercy on his dwelling places; and the city shall be builded upon her own heap, and the palace shall remain after the manner thereof.

19 And out of them shall proceed thanksgiving and the voice of them that make merry: and I will multiply them, and they shall not be few; I will also glorify them, and they shall not be small.

20 Their children also shall be as aforetime, and their congregation shall be established before me, and I will punish all that oppress them.

21 And their nobles shall be of themselves, and their governor shall proceed from the midst of them; and I will cause him to draw near, and he shall approach unto me: for who is this that engaged his heart to approach unto me? saith the LORD.

22 And ye shall be my people, and I will be your God.

MESSAGE
In continuation of my discussion about the significance of the events of the day of Pentecost, I want to point out that those who listened to the disciples after they had been filled with the Holy Ghost said, "We hear then praising the good works of God in our various languages" (Acts 2:1-12). This means that there must be Constant thanksgiving and praise to God if we want to experience a mighty move of the Holy Spirit in the body of Christ today.

When we meet to pray concerning our needs, God will show up. However, when we meet just to thank Him and acknowledge His greatness, He will manifest in a powerful way, and there will be a revival; miracles will become commonplace in our midst, and there will be many testimonies.

Years ago, I promised to visit one of the RCCG elders and told him l would spend just five minutes with him. Before l arrived, he had beautiful hymns and praise songs playing because he had observed that I am always humming songs of praise to God. I didn't know when I spent one hour with him because I was enjoying the music. If you are God's child and He always hears praises around you, He will definitely stay with you. God inhabits the praises of His people (Psalm 22:3); He comes wherever He is
exalted and extolled.

People who complain and murmur cannot host God's presence. When the Israelites murmured, it displeased God, and at some point, His fire fell among them. Unlike the tongues of fire on the day of Pentecost, this fire burnt and consumed them (Numbers 11:1). When Paul and Silas were imprisoned, instead of complaining, they started praising God. God came into the prison and caused a great earthquake such that the foundations were shaken (Acts 16:25-26). When you praise God amidst difficulties, He brings solutions that men cannot deny, giving you blessings that extend to those around you. When the prison was shaken, all the doors were opened, and everyone's bands were loosed.

Beloved, surrender your life to Jesus Christ if you haven't done so and choose to live a life of praise. The Holy Spirit will dwell in you and manifest mightily around you. He will liberate you if you are in any form of bondage and bless you so much that the blessings will be evident in your life and in the lives of everyone connected to you.

ACTION POINT
Praise and thank God for 30 minutes. Don't ask for anything; just praise and thank Him.

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: 2 Samuel 12-13

AUTHOR: PASTOR E. A ADEBOYE
HYMN 17: PRAISE MY SOUL THE KING OF HEAVEN
1. Praise, my soul, the King of heaven;
to his feet your tribute bring.
Ransomed, healed, restored, forgiven,
evermore his praises sing.
Praise Him, Praise Him!
Praise the everlasting King!

2. Praise him for his grace and favor
to his people in distress.
Praise him, still the same as ever,
slow to chide, and swift to bless.
Praise Him, Praise Him!
Glorious in his faithfulness!

3. Fatherlike he tends and spares us;
well our feeble frame he knows.
In his hand he gently bears us,
rescues us from all our foes.
Praise Him, Praise Him!
Widely yet his mercy flows!
