TOPIC: LEARN FROM OTHERS MEMORISE : The thing that hath been, it is that which shall be; and that which is done is that which shall be done: and there is no new thing under the sun. Ecclesiastes 1:2 READ : Hebrews 6:11-12 11 And we desire that every one of you do shew the same diligence to the full assurance of hope unto the end: 12 That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises. MESSAGE Today’s memory verse says that there is nothing new under the sun. This means that if you are trying to achieve something, someone else has achieved the same thing or something similar before. Therefore, if you study that person and follow the principles the fellow lived by and the steps he or she took, you should also achieve the same result. This is why you must make it a habit to learn from the people you admire and seek to emulate. When you study their lifestyles and actions and add your knowledge and experience to that, you will be positioned to ...

OPEN HEAVENS DEVOTIONAL : THURSDAY AUGUST 25th 2022

TOPIC:  PRAYER OF THANKSGIVING 

MEMORISE:  
I will offer to thee the sacrifice of thanksgiving, and will call upon the name of the LORD. Psalms 116:17

READ: Psalms 124:1 -8

1 If it had not been the LORD who was on our side, now may Israel say;

2 If it had not been the LORD who was on our side, when men rose up against us:

3 Then they had swallowed us up quick, when their wrath was kindled against us:

4 Then the waters had overwhelmed us, the stream had gone over our soul:

5 Then the proud waters had gone over our soul.

6 Blessed be the LORD, who hath not given us as a prey to their teeth.

7 Our soul is escaped as a bird out of the snare of the fowlers: the snare is broken, and we are escaped.

8 Our help is in the name of the LORD, who made heaven and earth.

PRAYERS 

 1. Thank you Lord for Your goodness and mercy over me and my family - nuclear and extended. I am very grateful to You Lord.
 2. Thank you Lord, for Your protection in the midst of all challenges and insecurity in all the nations of the world.
 3. Thank you Lord for always  being by my side. Thank you for answering me whenever l call You. I am grateful Lord.
 4. Thank You Lord for the troubles l have experienced in the past. Thank You for the grace to survive and today,, l am still standing. I give You glory Lord.
 5. Father, thank You for not allowing internal enemies to destroy me. Thank You Lord, for healing me now and again, and protecting me from diseases and sicknesses.
 6. Thank You Lord for watching me even when l am sleeping. You neither sleep nor slumber, so that l can sleep. I am grateful Lord.
 7. Lord Jesus, l want to thank You specially for dying for my sins. If not for the sacrifice you made for me at Calvary, l would have been heading to hell now. Thank You for leaving Your throne and coming to earth to save my soul
 8. Father, thank You for revealing to me all the good prophecies that have been said concerning me in the past so that l can walk in line with Your will for my life.
 9. Thank You Lord for all the help You have rendered to me in the past. Lord I am grateful. (Recollect some of those time when God help you and thank Him for them.
 10. Thank You Lord for all Your blessings in my life. I will never be ungrateful to You Lord.
 11. Father, thank You for forgiving all my sins. If You are to count iniquity, l would not be able to stand before You. However, in Your mercy, You always forgive me when l call on You. Thank You Lord for that loving mercy.
 12. Your personal prayer of thanksgiving.
