TOPIC: GOD HATES LONELINESS MEMORISE : “God setteth the solitary in families: he bringeth out those which are bound with chains: but the rebellious dwell in a dry land.” - (Psalm 68:6) READ : ISAIAH 34:16-17 (KJV) 16 Seek ye out of the book of the LORD, and read: no one of these shall fail, none shall want her mate: for my mouth it hath commanded, and his spirit it hath gathered them. 17 And he hath cast the lot for them, and his hand hath divided it unto them by line: they shall possess it for ever, from generation to generation shall they dwell therein. MESSAGE : In Matthew 6:9, Jesus taught us to start our prayers with Our Father. God is a "family man'. He loves the concept of family and hates loneliness. In Genesis 2:18, He said that it is not good that a man should be alone. If you're of marriageable age and can't seem to find the right companion to get married to, or if there are forces preventing you from getting married, I pray that the tide will turn this year...

OPEN HEAVENS DAILY DEVOTIONAL: FRIDAY 7th MAY 2021.

TOPIC: WHAT YOU SOW, YOU WILL REAP!

MEMORISE:
But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully. 2 Corinthians 9:6

READ:  2 Corinthians 9:6-8

6 But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully.

 7 Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.

 8 And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work:

MESSAGE:
Many years ago, I give seven elders of the church some neckties I had been wearing previously, assuring them that the items were anointed. To the glory of God, whenever they ministered with those neckties on, miracles happened. However, not long after, I observed a trend; I started getting gifts of neckties. I asked God "Can't these people give me something other than neckties?" God said "Son, if you sow ties, you will reap ties". I immediately got the message and decided to start sowing shoes. I gave out a good number of shoes, among which were some of my favorites to some pastors who wore similar sizes. I expected a harvest of new shoes the month after but there was none. When another month rolled by and I still didn't get anything, I went to God. It was then that the Lord taught me another lesson; He said "Son if you plant maize, you can harvest it within three months, but if you plant yam, you have to wait a Iittle longer." James5:7 says:

"Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord. Behold, the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth, and hath long patience for it, until he receive the early and latter rain."

God said to me "The greater the quality of the seed sown, the more time you have to spend waiting for the harvest. The shoes you sowed are of greater value than the ties you gave out. Thus, you will have to wait a little longer. Once the harvest starts however, there would be no stopping it". Not long after, I began to get gifts of shoes - different sizes and colors. When the harvest eventually came in full, I was pleasantly surprised.

As a child of God, you must bear in mind that God is supreme, and He does as He pleases in alI situations and circumstances (Psalm 115:3). God may choose to act differently in terms of the nature, quantity and timing of individual's harvest. He can cause your harvest to come sooner or later than expected. What is certain however, is that if you have sown any seed, the harvest will come at God's appointed time. You will not miss your harvest, in the mighty name of Jesus.

PRAYER POINT:
Father, please help me not to be weary in well-doing and help me to be more fruitful every day of my life.

 BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: Matthew 27-28.

AUTHOR: PASTOR E. A. ADEBOYE

 HYMN 27: WE ARE NEVER NEVER WEARY OF THE GRAND OLD SONG

1. We are never, never weary of the grand old song;
Glory to God, Hallelujah;
We can sing it loud as ever, with our faith more strong;
Glory to God, Hallelujah!

Refrain:
O, the children of the Lord have a right to shout and sing,
For the way is growing bright, and our souls are on the wing;
We are going by and by to the palace of the King!
Glory to God, Hallelujah!

2. We are lost amid the rapture of redeeming love
Glory to God, Hallelujah!
We are rising on its pinions to the hills above;
Glory to God, Hallelujah!

3. We are going to a palace that is built of gold;
Glory to God, Hallelujah!
Where the King in all His splendour we shall soon behold;
Glory to God, Hallelujah!

4. There we'll shout redeeming mercy in a glad, new song,
Glory to God, Hallelujah!
There we'll sing the praise of Jesus with the blood-washed throng,
Glory to God, Hallelujah!
