TOPIC: THE LAW OF HARVEST MEMORIZE : Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. Galatians 6:7 READ : 2 Corinthians 9:6-11  6 But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully. 7 Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver. 8 And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work: 9 (As it is written, He hath dispersed abroad; he hath given to the poor: his righteousness remaineth for ever. 10 Now he that ministereth seed to the sower both minister bread for your food, and multiply your seed sown, and increase the fruits of your righteousness;) 11 Being enriched in every thing to all bountifulness, which causeth through us thanksgiving to God. OPEN HEAVENS DAILY DEVOTIONAL: SUNDAY 23rd MAY 2021.

TOPIC: THE FULLNESS OF TIME.

MEMORISE:
To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the Heaven: Ecclesiastes 3:1

READ:   Acts 2:1-4

1 And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.

2 And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting.

3 And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them.

4 And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

MESSAGE:
As Jesus promised, when the day of Pentecost was fully come, the Holy Spirit duly came upon His disciples. In like manner, Elizabeth, despite the delay with bearing the fruit of the womb, conceived and gave birth to John the Baptist in the fullness of God's time (Luke 1:11-16). These events confirm that our God is a God of times and seasons as it is written in Daniel 2:20-21.

The Almighty God moves very fast whenever He wants to do something. If it appears that He is slow in taking any action, you can be sure that it is because the set time has not fully come. God is not a slow worker at all. As we see in Genesis 1, He created the entire universe in just six days.

Delay however, may not always be a good thing. In 1 Samuel 17:51, we see how God helped David to move quickly. Had David delayed in separating the head of Goliath from his body after stoning him to the ground, things could have ended differently.

1 Samuel 17:51 says:
"Therefore, David ran, and stood upon the Philistine, and took his sword, and drew it out of the sheath thereof, and slew him, and cut off his head therewith. And when the Philistines saw their champion was dead, they fled."

One characteristic of God's fullness of time is its sudden arrival. We see this in the Holy Ghost baptism experience in Acts 2:1-2. Similarly, it took God just one day to kick away famine from Samaria as we see in 2 Kings 7:1-18. When God moved, food became surplus in the land where people had started killing their own children for food (2Kings 6:24-29).

You must have confidence in God that He is able to do whatever you desire. According to Hebrews 10:35-36, that is the only way you can receive the promise. As you patiently wait for God's time, you will encounter God and receive sudden breakthrough this season. Your day of celebration will come fully, in the mighty name of Jesus.

PRAYER POINT:
Father, please let my breakthrough come suddenly, such that it would shock and destabilize my enemies, in the mighty name of Jesus.

HYMN 27:  WE ARE NEVER NEVER WEARY OF THE GRAND OLD SONG.

1
We are never, never weary of the grand old song;
Glory to God, Hallelujah;
We can sing it loud as ever, with our faith more strong;
Glory to God, Hallelujah!

Refrain:
O, the children of the Lord have a right to shout and sing,
For the way is growing bright, and our souls are on the wing;
We are going by and by to the palace of the King!
Glory to God, Hallelujah!

2
We are lost amid the rapture of redeeming love
Glory to God, Hallelujah!
We are rising on its pinions to the hills above;
Glory to God, Hallelujah!

3
We are going to a palace that is built of gold;
Glory to God, Hallelujah!
Where the King in all His splendour we shall soon behold;
Glory to God, Hallelujah!

4
There we'll shout redeeming mercy in a glad, new song,
Glory to God, Hallelujah!
There we'll sing the praise of Jesus with the blood-washed throng,
Glory to God, Hallelujah!
