TOPIC: THE KEYS TO FREEDOM 2 MEMORISE See, I have set before thee this day life and good, and death and evil; - (Deuteronomy 30:15) READ : Exodus 21:1-6 (KJV) 1 Now these are the judgments which thou shalt set before them. 2 If thou buy an Hebrew servant, six years he shall serve: and in the seventh he shall go out free for nothing. 3 If he came in by himself, he shall go out by himself: if he were married, then his wife shall go out with him. 4 If his master have given him a wife, and she have born him sons or daughters; the wife and her children shall be her master's, and he shall go out by himself. 5 And if the servant shall plainly say, I love my master, my wife, and my children; I will not go out free: 6 Then his master shall bring him unto the judges; he shall also bring him to the door, or unto the door post; and his master shall bore his ear through with an aul; and he shall serve him for ever. TOPIC: THE PRESIDENT OF PRESIDENTS

MEMORISE
I hate vain thoughts: but thy law do I love. Psalm 119:113

READ: Daniel 2:20-23

20 Daniel answered and said, Blessed be the name of God for ever and ever: for wisdom and might are his:

21 And he changeth the times and the seasons: he removeth kings, and setteth up kings: he giveth wisdom unto the wise, and knowledge to them that know understanding:

22 He revealeth the deep and secret things: he knoweth what is in the darkness, and the light dwelleth with him.

23 I thank thee, and praise thee, O thou God of my fathers, who hast given me wisdom and might, and hast made known unto me now what we desired of thee: for thou hast now made known unto us the king's matter.

MESSAGE
In my travels around the world to preach the gospel, I have discovered that not all presidents are the same. I once visited a small country where the total number of policemen in the country was twenty. That nation is recognized by the United Nations, so when nations gather at the United Nations General Assembly, the president also shows up. However, you cannot compare that president to the president of a country that has over 40,000 policemen. In the same way, you cannot compare Jesus to any earthly leader. He is the President of presidents (Revelations 19:16).

Daniel 4:32 says that the Most High rules in the kingdom of men. If you want doors to open to you, you should befriend President Jesus. He has a name that is above every other name, and all things in heaven, on earth, and underneath the earth should bow when His name is mentioned (Philippians 2:9-11). No matter how powerful a president is, if he or she pronounces a curfew, it will only be effective within his or her territory. However, Jesus has influence all over the world, in heaven, and even underneath the earth. You should aim to be so intimate with Him that everywhere you appear, doors will open unto you as though President Jesus Himself is the One who has appeared.

You can become intimate with God by loving His laws. David, the man after God's heart, said, "O how love I thy law! it is my meditation all the day" (Psalm 119:97). When you love someone, you will always want to spend time with that person. God's laws are His principles, and they can be found in His word. As you meditate on them and allow them to fill your heart, you will become more intimate with His person, abilities, and power. David also said that those who love God's law have great peace, and nothing shall offend them (Psalm 119:165). If nothing offends you, it means that nothing shakes or moves you. President Jesus is the Prince of peace, and those who are intimate with Him will always enjoy peace no matter the situations surrounding them. No matter how terrible the economy of a nation gets, those in a president's household are confident that they will always have something to eat. If this is true for earthly presidents, how much more with President Jesus, who presides over an unshakable kingdom and economy (Hebrews 12:28)?

REFLECTION
Are you intimate with the President of all presidents?

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: Psalms 89-94

AUTHOR: PASTOR E. A ADEBOYE
HYMN 21: MY HOPE IS BUILT ON NOTHING LESS
1 My hope is built on nothing less
Than Jesus Christ, my righteousness;
I dare not trust the sweetest frame,
But wholly lean on Jesus’ name.

Refrain:
On Christ, the solid Rock, I stand;
All other ground is sinking sand,
All other ground is sinking sand.

2 When darkness veils His lovely face,
I rest on His unchanging grace;
In every high and stormy gale,
My anchor holds within the veil.

3 His oath, His covenant, His blood,
Support me in the whelming flood;
When all around my soul gives way,
He then is all my hope and stay.

4 When He shall come with trumpet sound,
Oh, may I then in Him be found;
In Him, my righteousness, alone,
Faultless to stand before the throne.
