Memorise:
The King’s heart is in the hand of LORD, as the rivers of water: he turneth it
whithersoever he will. Proverbs 21:1
Read: Daniel
4:24-27
As the
King of kings, God wields His power, influence and authority over other kings.
Daniel 4:25 says God is the true king maker as He determines who ascends the
throne and who does not. Psalm 75:7 says He can set up a king and pull down
another king. Proverbs 21: 1 says He has the hearts of kings in his hands and
turns them wherever He wants. Kings control things while God control the kings.
One implication of God being the King of kings is that all power brokers and
controllers of men are at His beck and call and He can use them to back you up
in fulfilling your destiny. Joseph is an example of someone that experienced
this. God revealed His plan to make him great in two separate but similar
dreams. Joseph was sure he was not created to die prematurely or to become
victim of circumstance manipulated by men. But at some point in his life, Joseph
was sitting in prison instead of on the throne. Then the King of kings gave a
set of dreams to Pharaoh and within 24 hours, Joseph dreams were fulfilled. Are
you presently located in the pit or prison of life while heading for your
promised throne? The King of kings will engineer events that will lift you up
and help you to fulfill your destiny.
According
to Romans 8:31, if the King of kings is on your side, nobody can be against
you. When the question is asked: If God be for you, who can be against you?
Usually, we chorus ‘Nobody’, but forget that sometimes, we can decide to be
against ourselves. Our Lord Jesus said there is no neutral place: it is either
you are for Him or you are against Him. You are either gathering with Him or
scattering from Him. You are either a Christian who is 100 percent committed or
you are not. Where do you stand in all of these? How often do you call on the King
of kings to influence the power brokers in your favour?
KEY POINT:
Some
people lobby people while some others lobby the King of kings. Kings are limited
to their domains, but the King of kings is not limited to any domain.
