TOPIC: STRENGTH IS NOT ENOUGH II   MEMORISE : Blessed are they that dwell in thy house: they will be still praising thee. Selah. Psalm 84:4   READ : Isaiah 40:28-31 28 Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding. 29 He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength. 30 Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall: 31 But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.   MESSAGE Yesterday, we saw how Peter fell into temptation because he couldn't keep watch in prayer (Matthew 26:40-43). Prayerlessness is one of the signs that a believer is relying on his or her own strength. Unlike Peter, however, David kept watch day and night in the place o...

Memorize: One thing have I desired of the LORD, that will I seek after, that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to enquire in his temple. Psalms 27:4

Read: Exodus 33:18-23

Moses was a student of the school of obedience. So also was Jesus and great Bible heroes. The grade with which you graduate from this school goes a long way in determining the glory of God you will have and the fulfillment of your destiny.
As Moses' score in obedience improved, he began to witness certain developments in his life. He became a carrier of God's high level of glory and also attracted God's presence wherever he went. Other Israelites went to the tabernacle to pray and worship God but nothing unusual happened.
But when Moses entered the same tabernacle, the pillar of cloud came and stood at the door of the tabernacle. As he persisted in obedience and prayed, not only did the cloud of glory become a reoccurring decimal in his life, but also the pillar of fire. In his case, these two manifest signs of God's glorious presence were physical.

Moses basked in the glory of the Lord, yet like Oliver Twist, he was not satisfied. He kept craving for more. He set aside past encounters with God. During an intense moment of prayer, he asked God to show him His glory and God did. God watches us very closely.
He knows those who are serious about receiving His glory and those who are not. Also from this, we learn that before you can access a higher level of glory, you must intensely desire it as well as fervently pray for it. While others were busy asking for material blessings, Moses was asking for God's glory.
The level of God's glory Moses requested for was such that no human being could withstand. But God relaxed certain conditions before showing Moses His glory so that he did not taste death at the time. Moses saw God's glory and bowed. The children of Israel saw God's glory on Moses and bowed too.
God's glory had rubbed off on him. You too can desire the glory to a point that everyone will know that the glory of God you carry is unquenchable.

KEY POINT: Obedience is a door leading to all blessings from God. When combined with strong desire, they open up great possibilities.
Bible in one year: Ezekiel 34-36
