TOPIC: SAFETY IS OF THE LORD MEMORISE : I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust. - (Psalm 91:2) READ : Psalm 127:1-2  1. Except the Lord build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the Lord keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain. 2. It is vain for you to rise up early, to sit up late, to eat the bread of sorrows: for so he giveth his beloved sleep.  MESSAGE : I find it surprising that many influential people think that their bodyguards can truly keep them safe. The truth is, no human being can truly keep another person safe; safety is of the Lord (Proverbs 21:31). For example, when bodyguards are confronted by assailants with superior firearms, the people they are protecting will quickly realise that nobody is really willing to die for someone else, no matter how much he or she is paid. Beloved, the only one who can keep you safe is the Most High God; therefore, your hope for tomorrow should be in Him and no o...

Memorize: He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day. John 12:48

Read: John 12:47-50

Anyone living in a boarding house is compelled to adhere to the rules and regulations operating there. Until you gave your life to Christ, you were in control of your life and you were free to do whatever you liked with it. But the day you give your life to Jesus, it means you have decided to be a boarder in Jesus house and as a result, you must abide by the rules operating there. Psalms 91:1 says: He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
Everyone in God's boarding house is assured of protection. But the moment you sneak out, you court trouble. Anything that happens to you outside His house is solely your responsibility. Have you chosen Jesus? Then make sure you sign up for everything He stands for.

God's kingdom does not give room for neutrality. The Laodicean church used the wrong yardstick to gauge their performance (Revelation 3:17). Whenever the yardsticks or parameters are wrong, the product of that assessment will surely be wrong. They equated financial prosperity with spiritual prosperity.
Many people still make that mistake today. They think because a church is tastefully furnished and have everything money can buy therefore God is in the house. No sir. Everything may be in place but God is absent, whereas in a financially impoverished church, nothing may be in place but God may be there.
If you have the best of equipment and the most outstanding choir in a church but they are living in sin, God will be out of that gathering. Money cannot buy God's presence. Money cannot buy the gifts of the Spirit. No amount of money can buy the salvation of your soul.

That a church is packed full and bubbling does not mean that they are in God's good books. What are the yardsticks for measuring the progress of your church today? The Laodicean church thought they were rich but in God's eyes they were the poorest of the churches.
They were not only the poorest but also wretched, miserable, blind and naked. May these not be said of you. The Bible is the right yardstick for measuring progress. How compliant are you with the Master's instructions? He is the One to access you; therefore do everything possible to make Him happy with you. This done, everything else is secondary.

KEY POINT: At the end of the day, the Words of Christ will be used to judge us. How much of them do you know and comply with?
