TOPIC: MARRY RIGHT MEMORISE:  I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye. Psalm 32:8 READ : Judges 16:4-21 4 And it came to pass afterward, that he loved a woman in the valley of Sorek, whose name was Delilah. 5 And the lords of the Philistines came up unto her, and said unto her, Entice him, and see wherein his great strength lieth, and by what means we may prevail against him, that we may bind him to afflict him: and we will give thee every one of us eleven hundred pieces of silver. 6 And Delilah said to Samson, Tell me, I pray thee, wherein thy great strength lieth, and wherewith thou mightest be bound to afflict thee. 7 And Samson said unto her, If they bind me with seven green withs that were never dried, then shall I be weak, and be as another man. 8 Then the lords of the Philistines brought up to her seven green withs which had not been dried, and she bound him with them. 9 Now there were men lying in wait, abiding wi...

FAITHFUL GOD Sunday, September 30, 2012

Memorize: God forbid: yea, let God be true, but every man a liar; as it is written, That thou mightest be justified in thy sayings, and mightest overcome when thou art judged. Romans 3:4

Apart from grace, one other thing God is unlimited in is faithfulness. Lamentations 3:23 says His faithfulness is great. God is not only faithful, He is incurably faithful. Being a faithful God entails fulfilling every promise made. It also means that in any situation that requires inputs from man and God, when man has done his, God will of necessity do His.
In most agreements involving God and man, if there is a breach, it can never be God; it always comes from man if only you take the pain to look beyond the surface. 2 Timothy 2:13 says even if all human beings deny God today, and all His children betray Him, God cannot deny Himself.

That means it is not what you say that will make Him to do what He will do. God is very responsible. Romans 3:4 says even when all men tell lies, God remains truthful. Being truthful is not just a trait, but it is His personality. He is the Truth (John 14:6). It is because of His faithfulness we are still living today.
Some years ago, at the end of that year, I sat at the Redemption camp and told the Lord we should have some tête-à-tête. I said, “Daddy, next Sunday, I will tell the congregation to praise You, but the truth is, I don't see anything worth praising You for in this year that is ending”.

“Is that so?” He asked. Then He asked me to get a note book and pen to do some writing. He asked me: “How many people sleep and never wake up? On January 1st, you slept and woke up. Write that as miracle number one. On January 2nd, you slept and woke up. That is miracle number two...” When He got to January 3rd, I fell on my face and told Him I will praise Him.
Do not take His little mercies for granted! A man who is sleeping is half dead. Waking you up after you slept is a miracle that only God can do because many go into eternity from sleep. Thank God for His faithfulness in your life and He will yet be faithful. I pray that as you please Him daily, He will always be there for you.

ACTION POINT: Throughout today, remain in an attitude of thanksgiving as you appreciate God for His faithfulness to you in every aspect of life.
Bible in one year: Revelation 5-6
