Memorize: To the Lord our God belong mercies and forgivenesses, though we have rebelled against him;
Daniel 9:9
The finger of God is significant in that it is an agent of healing. In
Mark 7:31-37,
when a deaf and dumb fellow had a touch from the finger of Jesus, his
ears opened and his tongue was loosed. As that finger touches you today,
healing will take place. If you want to be healed of any type of
sickness, you do not need God to come down, but just a touch of His
finger.
No sickness or disease can remain in the body His finger has touched.
He will touch you today and if there is any sickness, it will disappear
forever. Similarly, the finger of God writes forgiveness and pardon for
the guilty. In
John 8:2-11,
when some people brought a woman who was caught in the act of adultery
to Jesus, they quoted the law and presented a strong case which should
have claimed her life.
But while the accusations were being levied against her, Jesus
stooped down and His finger began to write. Although they could not tell
what He was writing on the ground, but by the time He ended His
writing, all her accusers were gone, the woman was forgiven and turned
from a sinner into a saint and released to go free.
Meanwhile, her accusers came as sinners and left as sinners because
the finger did not write anything concerning them. Is the devil, who is
the accuser of the brethren, accusing you today before the Lord? That
same finger of God will write pardon and forgiveness in your records and
dismiss every accusation.
The finger of God is the finger of mercy. It does not matter how many
people are accusing you. It does not matter whether you are guilty or
wrongly charged, in fact, you could have been caught red-handed in the
crime you are accused of; if the finger of God comes into that situation
and writes for you, all their accusations will become insignificant.
In fact, if care is not taken, like in this case, those who came to
accuse you could become the accused. Jesus was ready to expose the sins
each of them committed if any of them had cast the first stone. They
would have had the disgrace of their lives! Sneaking away saved them
from great embarrassment.
PRAYER POINT: There is no accusation against the one
the finger of God has written mercy for. Father, let Your finger write
mercy concerning me today.
